June 26th 2017 Newsletter – Cedar Green Monday Ladies Golf

We had few brave ladies show up for golf last night, unfortunately, our ninth Monday Ladies Golf Day was our second rained-out event this season, and thus we cancelled the evening round.

As in prior seasons when we have had a rained out Ladies Night we credited attendance to those golfers who had participated in any of our previous Ladies golf days. We will do the same for this evening’s rain out. Therefore, anyone who attended a Monday Ladies Golf Day since May 1st will be counted as present this evening. Please check the attendance sheet in the ladies locker room to ensure that our records are accurately reflect you participation.

We will continue to follow our season schedule as posted on the Cedar Green website and on the bulletin board in the ladies locker room.

On July 3rd all the players who join us at the 6:00 pm shotgun start will be given a free sleeve of golf balls courtesy of Sam Yawney and Pro Golf Liquidators.  As well, our featured drink special will be “Molson 67” beer.

It is official Cedar Green has hired a new food and beverage manager. Caitlin Craig is a very motivated young lady who will be making some considerable changes to the menu at Cedar Green and will be offering weekly specials for our Monday Ladies Golf Day before and after you play your round of golf at 6pm. We look forward to Caitlin’s new offerings and the changes she plans to make in the clubhouse.

So far we have 4 ladies who have offered to bake cakes for our cake Auction on July 10th and Linda is still taking pre-orders for her Belgian fudge brownies, priced at $2.50 each. If you wish to bake a cake for the auction, please see Linda or send her an email with a description of your cake. All proceeds from the Cake Action will be given to Angels in Pink on July 27th.

Next week we will be playing our own game and we would like to remind you to book your starting hole on the Sign-up Sheet for next Monday when you register for Ladies night golf in the pro shop. If you did not have an opportunity to do so, you can call at the pro shop 705-560-1090 and the staff will book your starting hole for next week. If you drive a golf cart please allow the walkers the advantage of booking holes closer to the clubhouse.

We also are well aware that many of our new golfers have found it challenging to find and getting their starting hole prior to the 6pm shotgun start, so we would like to advise you that we now have staff and a volunteer who is willing to drive you to your assigned hole. Please feel free to ask the starter to make these arrangements for you, when you give him your starter slip.

Remember if you booked a hole and have decide not join us please call the pro shop to have your name removed from the sign-up sheet, as our numbers are growing every week and we have ladies on a waiting list for assigned starting holes.

The Cedar Green Ladies Golf Committee Linda, Lisa, Maryann and Sylvie thank you all for making our Monday Ladies Golf Night a very successful event. Hope to see you all next week.
