July 3rd 2017 Newsletter – Cedar Green Monday Ladies Golf Day

On our tenth Monday Ladies Golf Day this season we had a total of 100 participants, of which 7 were new golfers to our Monday Golf Day.

This evening we would like to thank Sam Yawney and Pro Golf Liquidators for donating a free sleeve of golf balls to every participant who joined us at the 6:00 pm shotgun start.

As well, thank you to our new food and beverage manager Caitlin Craig for providing a ladies dinner special and a discount price on our featured beverage of Molson’s 67 beer at the discounted price of $5.25.

Next week on Monday July 10th we will be hosting a cake auction to raise additional funds for our “Angels in Pink Night” and thus far our committee members and lady golfers have committed to donating 6 home baked cakes. So we ask you to bring extra cash next week to bid on these baking delights which can be later enjoyed at home with your families. Linda Collison will be selling her renowned fudgy Dutch chocolate brownies for $2.50 each as part of her contribution to this fundraiser. One of our sponsors, Vrab’s Your Independent Grocers will be providing ice cream to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Remember all proceeds from this bake sale/auction will be added to the funds we accrue from our Elliot Lake / Stoneridge Golf raffle and the donation from funds raised by the ladies at Monte Vista for this cause. The total amount will be given to Annette Cressy the representative for the Angel’s in Pink campaign. This organization continues to raise funds to purchase diagnostic equipment for our local Northern Cancer Treatment Centre.

We have been asked to remind our weekly winners of the Cedar Green prizes vouchers to understand that these vouchers must be used in their entirety at the time they are redeemed. The pro shop cannot give you change for the unused portion, therefore you might consider using them to pay part of a friend’s green fee and they can give you the payment for that the portion you spend on them. Some members save their vouchers and use them at the end of the season to put towards their membership fees for the following year. However, you decide to use your prize vouchers remember they must be redeemed in the 2018 golf season.

Next week we will be playing a 2 person scramble and would like to remind you to book your starting hole on the Sign-up Sheet for next Monday when you register for Ladies night golf in the pro shop. If you did not have an opportunity to do so, you can call at the pro shop 705-560-1090 and the staff will book your starting hole for next week.

We remind you that guest golfers can pre-pay their green fees, cart fees, and prizes fees one week in advance, by clicking on the following link:  https://www.chronogolf.ca/admin/#/clubs/17066/events/tournaments/38572?viewType=monthly&range=2017-07https://www.chronogolf.ca/club/17066/events/46162
