July 18th 2016 Newsletter – Cedar Green Monday Ladies Golf Day

Tonight we had a total of 98 participants of which 8 were new golfers to our Ladies Night.

This week we played our own game and golfers were given free lifts from any water, so even if you lost a ball in the water you did not add a stroke to your score.

Starting this week I will be attaching a copy of the attendance sheet along with our newsletter to the email  send  to the ladies on my email distribution list so that participants can monitor their own attendance.  Please review the document to ensure the spelling of your name is correct and that the spreadsheet accurately reflects your attendance this season.

Remember, golfers who participate in 10 Monday Ladies’ Day Golf games between May 2nd and September 12th qualify for the bonus draws when they attend our Wrap-up evening on September 19th.  Last season great prizes were provided by over 50 businesses in the Sudbury and Algoma region.

Currently we email our weekly newsletter to 236 women golfers in the Sudbury area, prior to posting it on the Cedar Green and Golf Sudbury websites. If you want to be included on the distribution list please provide your email address to Linda Collison.

Next Monday is PINK NIGHT and we will be playing a 2 person scramble.  If you do not have a partner please ensure you alternate your shots with one other player in your threesome. (This is not a 3 person scramble).

In keeping with our “Angels in Pink” theme night, we encourage all our participants to don their PINK attire as we will be awarding a prize to our best dressed Lady in Pink.

Last week we held our best cake auction yet. This evening we received an additional $10 donation from Clara Harvey as she was unable to participate in last week’s event, bringing our total to $431.00. This amount will be added to the proceeds from our Elliot Lake golf raffle. We will continue to sell tickets next week until the prize draw at the end of the evening.  Most importantly, we will be presenting the Angels in Pink proceeds from both fundraisers as our annual contribution to their campaign to purchase diagnostic equipment for the Northern Cancer Treatment Centre.

Remember to book your starting hole on the Sign-up Sheet being distributed this evening or by calling the pro shop after 8:00 am on Tuesday morning at 705-560-1090.

An Odyssey putter head cover was found on the course this evening, please check the pro shop lost and found if it belongs to you.
