August 7th 2018 Newsletter – Cedar Green Monday Ladies Golf Day

On our 15th Ladies Golf Day at Cedar Green, we had 97 participants attend our weekly golf day.

This evening we asked everyone to count their putts and we awarded a new putter donated by Pro Golf Liquidators to the golfer who had the least putts during their round of golf. The winner of this prize was Karen Raguin with 12 putts.

Next week on Monday, August 14th, we will be playing a Best Drive Shamble format.

Like in a scramble, all members of a team (usually four) tee off and the best ball of the four tee shots is selected. All players move their balls to the spot of the best ball. From this point, the hole is played out at stroke play, with all members of the team playing their own ball into the hole and recording their individual scores. It appears this format help several golfers improve their scores.

As well, starting next week ladies who wish to join us for dinner on September 18th at our final Wrap-up Monday Ladies Night can pre-pay their meal. Catlin will be offering 2 choices for dinner, roast beef or chicken (bone-in) with vegetables, potatoes, salad, dessert, tea & coffee for $20.

In an effort expedite registration and alleviate some of the congestion in the pro shop between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm, GolfSudbury has set up an online website where guests ONLY can pre-pay their green fees, cart fees and prizes fees one week in advance. Here is the link for next Monday, https://www.chronogolf.ca/club/17066/events/52615

If you have not had an opportunity to book your starting hole for next Monday, you can call at the pro shop 705-560-1090 and the staff will book it for you.
