August 13 th 2018 Newsletter – Cedar Green Monday Ladies Golf Day

On our 14 th Ladies Golf Day at Cedar Green evening we had 94 participants of which 3 were new golfers to our
Monday Ladies Night.
This evening we all played our own game and we thought some players might “whine” about this format, so we
offered 9 oz. glasses of house wine at the discounted price of $5. We hope this enticement helped you celebrate
whatever score you entered on your scorecard.
Our records indicate there are still 7 ladies who paid for their Ladies Night green fees & prize fees on the evening
of August 6th which was a rainout. Please be advised that you can use these credits towards the next Ladies Golf
Night you attend.
This year we have had a record number of 52 Cedar Green members join us regularly at our Monday Ladies Golf
Day. We would therefore like to take this opportunity to invite all members to participate in the annual Club
Championship tournament being held on Saturday, August 25 th and Sunday, August 26 th .
The total cost to register is $40 per player. (This amount will cover the cost 2 meals and prize fees)
 Saturday: BBQ (each golfer gets 2 items of food and a drink)
 Sunday: Dinner (chicken and ribs)
 Prizes: $15 (all paid out in gift cards)
Three Divisions:
1. Men,
2. Senior Men
3. Ladies
Tee Times start at 9 am with:
 Ladies going out 1 st
 Senior Men going out 2 nd
 Men going out 3 rd
If you choose to ride there is a cart fee of $15 for each day ($30 for 2 days)
You can pay your registration fee at the pro shop starting this week. Notices advertising the Club Championship
have been posted on the bulletin boards in the clubhouse.
Next week we will be playing our own game and golfers will be asked to record their putts. The player with the
least putts will win a new putter donated by Pro Golf Liquidators.
As a special bonus, Waterloo Brewery will be hosting beer tasting at their tent. The company representatives will
be providing samples of their products prior to our shotgun start. The Waterloo Grapefruit Radler will be our
featured drink of the evening at the discounted price of $5.

We would like to remind you to book your starting hole on the Sign-up Sheet for next Monday when you register
for Ladies night golf in the pro shop. If you did not have an opportunity to do so, you can call at the pro shop 705-
560-1090 and the staff will book your starting hole for next week.

The twoonie pot in the amount of $67 was not won this evening therefore this amount will be carried over and
added to next Monday money pot.
